The study of Romanticism<\/strong> has traditionally enjoyed very little consideration in Spain. Only very recently has the task of rehabilitating this transcendental aesthetic and cultural movement that emerged in the 19th century<\/strong>, largely responsible for the formation of our sensitivity, begun to bear fruit. There is, however, much that remains to be done in a task that has a lot of collective self-knowledge. It is, therefore, to a certain extent illogical that a city like Teruel did not participate in this aspect, for which the universal romantic drama by Juan Eugenio Hartzenbusch<\/strong>, Los Amantes de Teruel, represents the main link of union with the literature enthusiasts of everyone<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is what the Amantes Foundation<\/strong> has seen with the creation of the Hartzenbusch Center for the study and documentation of romanticism<\/strong>, an initiative whose central objective is precisely the documentation, study and promotion of the cultural movement of romanticism<\/strong> and, by extension, the cultural history of the Spain of the 19th century<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
